Black History Month

In honor of Black History Month, NCFA brings you a glimpse into the lives of several African-Americans who were adopted, lived in foster care, or were cared for by guardians. Many of these influential Americans were adopted by extended family members. Did you know that every year about 57,000 children are adopted by family members? Adoptions by relatives account for about 43% of all U.S. adoptions.
