The National Council for Adoption is pleased to announce an opportunity for our friends and supporters to make the gift of family a part of their personal legacy.
The Lou Stern Legacy Society recognizes donors who have chosen to support our work well into the future through including NCFA in their estate plans. The society honors the life’s work of our longtime friend and champion Lou Stern, a charter board member, founder, and long-time supporter and advocate of NCFA.
Lou believed that the fight for children and families was the ultimate battle, one that goes on, and he was committed to winning. As an adoptive parent himself, Lou embraced the mission and calling of this role.
Just days before Lou passed away in early 2017, he made a final phone call to NCFA, encouraging our team to “continue the fight”—the fight to see that every child everywhere has the opportunity to flourish and thrive with the support and love of a family.
Through our membership in the Lou Stern Legacy Society, you will have the opportunity to make a transformational gift on behalf of vulnerable children, while ensuring that it’s invested in accordance with your wishes.
If you have already included NCFA in your estate plans, please contact us so we can thank you and enroll you in the Lou Stern Legacy Society.
NCFA staff are happy to work with you to review your options for making a legacy gift and to discuss how we will permanently recognize that gift. To begin this conversation, please contact Lauren Koch, Director of Development, at 703.216.4756 or email@example.com.
