Internships

NCFA offers an excellent internship opportunity for students to join us as we promote a culture of adoption through education, research, and legislative action. Our staff is passionately committed to the belief that every child deserves a nurturing, permanent family, and we ask nothing less from our interns. Students with an interest in adoption, non-profits or charitable organizations, social work, fundraising, communications, or policy are preferred.

Make a Difference

As an intern with National Council For Adoption, you will be directly involved in our work to strengthen and support adoption. Our interns gain valuable experience and skills working across our education, research, advocacy, and constituent services programs. You may also choose to concentrate your work in a specific area of interest or professional focus, including but not limited to:

"In my experience, NCFA is a place where coworkers champion one another - professionally and otherwise. Where intentionality and collaboration is fostered, and mistakes are met with grace and gentle correction. NCFA is an organization that treats interns as competent people, rather than a nuisance. And I loved that their focus is solidly on on mitigating barriers to ensure that all children have forever homes." - Patterson, 2021 Intern
